Even though the team earned a 3rd place finish at the Georgia State 3-AAA XC Championships, they were awarded with a 4th place finish. At the end, these lions complete this year with the fastest team average time, in the school's hisotry. Trey Ellis ran 16:30 to set the SPX record at this course. Brendan Hoban completed the race in 16:51, who was followed by Michael and Colin O'Leary, Lee Kaufman, Steven Luther and James Evans.  
In the Region 5-AAA Cross Country Championships, hosted by St. Pius X, the boys' team finished in first place with a total of 36 points. Senior Trey Ellis lead the team with an overall, second place finish, while sophomore Brendan Hoban completed the toughest 5k course with an outstanding sprint, capturing a fourth place medal. Senior Michael O'Leary ran strong throughout the race, earning a 7th place finish. Colin O'Leary, the second sophomore who has become a great asset to the team, finished in 9th place. Sophomore Lee Kaufman provided an excellent performance, as he helped secure the team's success at this great event. In the JV race, freshman Andrei Templeton ran an outstanding race, finish first for SPX.
